Shocking Service!

I started as a Discovery Card client more than 3 years ago... I got the card for the sake of my Vitality Benefits and wanted to qualify for the Apple Watch... They approved the credit card on the phone and offered me a R50000 limit... I chose to only go for the minimum requirement, because I am not keen on debt. They said that all I needed was R13800 limit. All worked well till I wanted to renew my watch 2 years later - I was then informed that I needed a higher limit now???

So I asked that they increase it with R1700 which was all that was needed... They refused and demanded that I fill out application forms and prove affordability again...

I decided to rather leave it because it’s petty...

I finally decided to follow through because I would like a new Apple Watch - they forced me to fill out an application form and to send supporting documents... I did this and they still wanted more documents???

I left it and decided to phone to ask if they can assist me over the phone - they still refuse? Discovery Card Consultants were unwilling to even investigate reasons why we can’t increase the limit - they are unwilling to assist and argued with me, saying that the minimum limit has always been R15500... To which I rep**** : “How did I get the first watch then?”...

I have no debt except bonds on my investment properties... It should be an easy straight forward solution - but they refuse to assist... “Discovery Card” moved the goal posts, but expect me to work extra hard from my side to jump through new hoops now.

I am hereby warning all potential discovery clients - It seems these guys don’t want to assist clients when simple requests are made?
