Record everything (calls, texts, etc) when it comes to Discovery Bank

It is no wonder they have such a low trust score from previous reviews I have seen. They claim to want to be an institute of transparency and accountability, my experience of them has been the exact opposite.

As soon as you call Discovery or they call you they mention that they are recording the conversation, but they will never give you a copy of this conversation - even if you ask for it.

I requested a copy of a recorded conversation for my own legal records and they refused under the excuse of 'This is standard procedure'.

So how then can they be held accountable if the customer cannot get access to such recordings? The short answer is its not possible. My experience leads me to believe that if you make an agreement with them and dont get the recording, they could claim just about anything.

The only time any recording can be released is during a court battle where they are compelled by the court, which means a long and expensive process. So if you want to protect yourself and hold them accountable, record every interaction you have with them.
