Platinum card nightmare

I recieved our new platinum cards on 23 June (already activated even though the instructions with the card say we need to activate them). there was a note with the cards stating our pins had been sent via the post (while the post office is on strike, seriously) or we had to access the online banking (never had a profile and still don't need one). I then logged a call with the call centre in the afternoon to have our pins reset and a call made to my husband for the pin to be given over the phone. after escalating the call a few working days later he finally got a call a day short of a week later to give him his pin but was told my pin would be a seperate call. a week and a half after the initial call being logged as well as numerous escalations we are still waiting for someone to phone one of us with the pin for my card.

In today's day and age of technology I think it is ridiculous that a pin gets sent via snail mail post. WHy not have a system in place where by you get sent a pin via sms or otp when activating the card on the website even if there is a process of certain questions etc.

I have again this morning spoken to a supervisor and all they could do was escalate the query, only the 5th escalation since last week wednesday.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE can someone sort this out and give us the in so we can make sure the cards work before the old cards are no longer active and our debit orders bounce and we are unable to buy our groceries and electricity.
