Paying vitality fees on bank account for nothing
I have been a bank client for almost 4 years. In 4 years our spending on our debit card counted towards spend goals. Recently, I noticed only when I do credit card transactions, did it count toward the spend goal. After calling discovery I was informed that this happened to certain clients. Well I never received a notification. I then asked as I am not intending to use the credit card (which would put me in debt) I wanted to ask if I can then remove the vitality fee I pay, as I don't have any use for it - it was indicated this can't be removed from your bank account. Thus, the "REWARD" system only for using your CREDIT CARD - and not the debit card. Please pursue other banks which gives you awards on responsible spending.
When you have a full banking suite, only the transactions made on your credit card will count towards your money goals.
The Vitality money premium is built into the monthly account fees as per the terms and conditions, it is a feature that comes with all our transaction accounts and credit card accounts.
Regards
Beatrice.

Thank you for the response. My issue is that when I signed up 4 years ago, all transactions either via credit or debit card counted towards the money goals. Only 3 weeks ago did it change on my side that it is only the credit card. This happened without as much of a email/letter/sms from discovery regarding this change. 4 years ago when I signed up, I was happy with everything counting towards the money goal, however I am bound to the signed terms and conditions 4 years ago and pay the same with Way LESS rewards whereas Discovery can change anything without hesitation. And that is not even stating that my money goal is set at what was spent with both debit and credit card. With the change to only taking into consideration credit card spending, the goal did not lessen as I do not Spend as a rule on my credit card. Severely disappointed.
