No longer able to e-mail them to tell them to do their job...
I moved overseas three years ago and spent an inordinate amount of time closing my acccount telephonically from abroad. Received confirmation e-mails from the Discovery staff member that all is sorted. One would think that it is settled then, right? Not with these guys... to my surprise when I checked my junk mail folder the other day, I'm still receiving statements and still being charged monthly. Not sure what for. It is no longer possible to correspond with them by e-mail, because apparently staff has been equipped to deal with queries telephonically. It is terrible move to do away with e-mail correspondence and am i really expected to go through the process of closing an account again, because someone at Discovery bank failed to do their job?? Looking at the reviews, you guys have really managed to tarnish a once poud brand...
If you read my complaint correctly, then you will note that I have gone through this process already almost two years ago. I think it is unacceptable to waste someone's time in this way becasue someone at your organisation has not done their work. It's a cop-out to appoint people to respond to complaints rather than address the issues. It's clear that this is a muchbigger problem than just my case. Why dont you get someone to phone me to make up for the frustration caused.

An investigation is currently in place to look at our previous correspondence and check the request and approval of your account closure, and we can further trouble shoot if there was a trigger in reactivating your account when we moved all our underwritten card at the time.
Once we receive feedback we will definitely be in contact with you.
