I was assisted by a sales agent from Discovery life to apply for a credit card. After completing the income and expenditure she told me that my application was approved for R25 000 at an interest rate of 18% and the will be a once off initiation fee of R175. My card will be delivered by the 20th Dec 2022, with no delivery costs. I also received a pre-agreement quote, that I accepted and created a pin for the card and went on to commit myself with the hope of getting a financial distress on or after the 20th. The following morning I called again and I was not told of any process that still needs to take place. Later the same day I got a call from their credit department that my application is declined. The sales lady did not even tell me if she is working under supervision or feet and proper. I was later told by her team leader that they are sending her for couching, after misleading me.
