Misleading benefits

The over 4000 bad reviews are testament to the terrible service. I called to get a credit card and wanted more information as their website and marketing is deliberately misleading. I wanted to know more details on the credit card before committing. I asked about what was exempt from the 55 days free credit and I was told it was things like cash withdrawals, efts, direct debits and surprisingly purchases of petrol or diesel. So I asked “if I fill my car up on the 1st of the month using the credit card will I be charged 22.5% interstate for the month with the interest accumulating immediately?” The advisor said yes. So I asked if it’s 22.5% per month for interest for the year. She said it’s per month. So I said that means your credit card interest rate is actually 270% per year. (Which is either ******* or she clearly has no idea what she was taking about). They sell you all the discounts you get but fail to mention at what cost. I asked her why things like diesel being charged at a high interest rate when paying with your credit card is not clearly advertised and her answer was that it’s in the t&cs somewhere. So I cancelled the application in fear of other surprises hidden in the t&cs
