Lack of transparency and proper communication channels
I am unable to view the fees/charges applicable on a Discovery Bank account and there is no option on the website to send an e-mail requesting this information.
I guess I'll have to look at other institutes who are more transparent and have open communication channels in order to open an account.

I was able to access the fees per the website link you shared, thanks. I see the Notice Deposit account makes reference to fees only being applicable if the notice period is not adhered to. I trust these are the only fees applicable on the account.

Yes, our Notice Deposit account has no monthly fees, only the penalty fee for breaking the notice period or transaction fees if you may make EFT's or real-time payments.
