*********** company
I have a credit card with discovery, they where suppose to debit my account on the 25th they haven’t for the last two months. I called to find out why the agent asked me 3 questions , my ID number which I gave him then my address I said I have two one in Durban and in JHB he said give me one I gave him the Durban address then I was asked for my company phone number which I don’t have. I was then told I failed the security check I asked the consultant to ask me more relevant questions I am a discovery customer for over 10 years, my medical aid is with them. The consultant said no I asked for a manager a person by the name of Nadine said she is the manager and she could not ask me any security questions because the system requires me to call back. Does that make any sense. Surely it’s you discovery that tells the system what to do and not the other way around, your staff is untrained and unhelpful. I wanted to pay you and to get a response if we can’t help you is crazy. Pathetic service
Thank you for your comment.
Like all financial institutions, our verification process is in place for the security of your Discovery Card account. This is also in line with regulatory requirements. Our call centre agents may not assist a client unless they pass the verification process and I’m sure you can imagine how many ********** attempts are made with all financial institution call centres; hence these stringent rules. We are doing our very best to protect you against any ********** attempts on your account.
I do realise that this was inconvenient for you at the time and I apologise that it frustrated you; however I hope you understand that in the end we are protecting each and every client by keeping these stringent rules in place.
If your details have recently changed then you can update your details on our website.
You can do this by visiting www.discovery.co.za and doing the following:
- Login and click on Credit Card
- Click on Manage your credit card
- Click on update your details.
I have also emailed you the guide on how to pay your Discovery Card account for your ease of reference. I trust that this helps however please don’t hesitate to let me know if you need anything else.
Best Regards
Amanda
