Tried to open a bank account this morning for my husband using my referral code, but the process is very difficult. We relocated from PE to CPT last year, are leasing and never interact with our landlord so we dont have a way to "prove" that we live where we say we live by getting affidavits, etc. Yes I just realised that the witnesses did not date where they signed the agreement but come on, I am a client of the bank, you have the adress on my statement (I have proof of adress) so what is the big issue. I know its a FICA requirement but rejecting all his documents is really disappointing as we dont have time to go sit at a councillors office to get POA (our only other option). After all the bragging I did about how awesome the bank is he is not very impressed...

If you husband doesn't have his own proof of address from like a bank statement we can use a third parties address in other words yours.
What I will need to assist with this is a copy of your ID, your proof of address and a letter from you confirming your husband stays with you confirming the address, both ID numbers and both signatures.

Thank you for your response. The account is open and he has received his card as well. Great service thank you. Just a question regarding the referral rewards. Do we get rewards for a pay as you use transactional account? Asking as the wording on the Ts & Cs is not very clear on this but I previously received 1500 miles when a friend opened a pay as you use transaction account so just wanted to make sure. Also he did apply for a credit card (review still in progress) as well after opening the transaction account, but I'm guessing that if he is approved we wont qualify since its a second account added?
