Failed transaction, missing Miles

I tried to spend my Discovery miles on one day only on the 19th of July - The transaction failed, yet all R1600+ worth of discovery miles were taken from my account, and have not been returned yet. Now I've lost out on the one day only deal, and 2 days later, the miles still have not been returned to me! (I was told they would be refunded in 24 hours) - I look online and my miles balance is 0, and there are absolutely no visible records of them going out of my account. It's like they just disappeared. Their call center can't see the transaction either When will the miles be refunded? - This ordeal has cost me over in the region of R1200 in lost savings opportunities as the deals expired.
