ELEVEN DAYS without resolution
WRefNo#***#- -MailRef#***#.I am in Korea. On 29/11/2015 I emailed you regarding my purchase limit overseas. It was set and I was told it would expire 6 mnths later and I should request an extension on 1 March 2016 since I will be abroad for longer than that. On 10/03 I mailed you requesting the extension. SIX days later Helen Sekgothe informs me that:Due to limitations in the exchange controls of South Africa, you cannot use any local debit or credit card if you are temporarily abroad. Apparently I can use my credit card abroad if I have app**** for permission from the South African Reserve Bank, and if I am permanently out of the country, as I am no longer allowed to have an active DiscoveryCard account. I was told that this also applies should I be out of the country for more than three months, as a temporary resident working overseas. I rep**** asking when this was implemented as I was told no such thing upon my initial communication advising you that I would be abroad for at least 1 year! If I do not receive satisfactory commnunication within 24 hours consider my credit card cancelled.
