DO NOT EVER JOIN DISCOVERY BANK

Discovery Bank does not even deserve a star. I had the worst experience with Discovery Bank. On Thursday 29/06/2023 I booked a return flight using my funds in my bank account. Went via bank payment route and it said approved. To my amazement on Saturday I noticed that Flysafair had asked me to make payment the Friday already or else my flight booking will be cancelled. I quickly checked on my app and found that Discovery had taken the amount off my available funds and marked it as pending. So I now could not access the R3227.00. I tried to click on pay now however flysafair then showed a msg that the flight booking had been cancelled due to non payment. I immediately called discovery bank to reverse my funds so that I could try and rebook, even though the prices for the flights had now gone up. I had the worst time talking to the call centre people tryng to get them to reverse my money so that I could rebook. They wanted proof of the cancellation which I obviously could not provide as the flight was not cancelled but they had not payed therefore the booking cancelled. I forwarded what I could get from Flysafair to discovery. In summary - I tried calling the whole day on Saturday and up having to borrow money from people so that I could book my flight as Discovery still continued to hold on to my funds. I later got hold of someone on Sunday night , however she said the problem would be logged and the refund could take up to 90 days as the funds no longer showed pending now. I want my money - I need that money and 90 days will not cut it!!! what an inconvenience. I WANT MY R3227.00 BACK DISCOVERY BANK!
