************** towards spouses

My husband and I have a joint membership with Discovery. While he is the "main member", I manage all aspects of our Discovery interactions including our Discovery Card statements, online payments, medical aid claims, etc. We both have Discovery Cards, however, when I spend on my card, Discovery sends him an SMS!! I find this insulting and discriminatory. Does my husband need to keep tabs on my spending? In addition, when I make our online payments, I need to make sure he is available as Discovery send the One Time Pins to his cell phone instead of mine. Once again, this is insulting to me. We have a joint account with Absa where once again he is the primary account holder, but I have signing powers on the account. Absa do not treat me in the same way. When I make payments using my Absa card, I get the SMS for my transactions. In addition, if I make online payments, Absa text me the One Time Pin. Why does Discovery treat spouses in such a discriminatory way? It is not the 1800's!! Please look into this as it upsets me and is unnecessary. If my husband is OK with me have a Discovery Card and making all our online payments, why does Discovery feel they have to "police" our transactions and treat me like an inferior and ************* individual. Please revert!
