DiscoveryCard is **********
After trying to get a Discovery Credit card last year it was declined because I didn't give proof of residence, I then cut ties and left it. At the beginning of this month I suddenly get a deduction of R500 from my savings account from DiscoveryCard which they then paid back to me in the non active Credit card, I phoned them up and they tell me they dont know why it went of and it must be a computer fault, I am then told the R500 is a debit order that is set to go of every month but i did not agree or sign for this debit order. They then tell me they cant reverse the R500 and the only way to get my money back it to close the account, which the guy on the other end said he would send to me shortly, I never got the forms. I then phoned again and spoke to a different person who after i told the whole story to told me it was their error and there would be no account closure fees and confirmed I would receive my full R500 when i closed it. This morning I received the forms to close the account along with a break down of my account where I now only have R400 in the account because there charged me a "#Credit Card Account" Fee along with a "#Declined Auth Fee"
This is a warning that DiscoveryCard is a ********** company and will lie and con you of your money. Dont ever give them any of your information.
