Discovery Travel – No Support or Communication on Disrupted Emirates Flight

I booked my honeymoon flights through the Discovery Bank travel platform specifically because I expected reliable support and communication in situations like this.

Since the escalation of the Middle East conflict, I have been proactively trying to get updates on my Emirates booking. I have been sending enquiries since then, but have received no response whatsoever from Discovery.

On Friday, I checked the Emirates app myself and saw that my outbound flight is marked as “disrupted.” Discovery did not communicate this to me at all.

I then contacted Emirates directly, and they confirmed that:

My original flight is no longer available Discovery, as the booking agent, must assist with rebooking The change should be done at no additional cost

However, when I tried to change the flight via the Discovery platform, I was incorrectly charged additional fees.

I also emailed Discovery requesting assistance to move to an earlier flight on the same day (as per Emirates availability), and again — no response.

This is extremely disappointing. This is my honeymoon, and I specifically used Discovery’s platform expecting support during disruptions. Instead, I’ve had:

Zero communication No assistance Incorrect charges for a change that should be free

At this point, I am still waiting for:

Urgent assistance with rebooking Confirmation that the change will be done at no cost Any form of communication from Discovery

This level of service is unacceptable, especially for something as important as international travel.
