Discovery *****s R10 and calls it a 'business rule'
Discovery took the R10 that I overpaid into my credit card when I asked them to close my account (I settled the card but paid a little bit extra into it). Nowhere was this explained to me, and when I enquired they said it's a 'business rule'. Do business rules justify theft?
PS cancelling your card with Discovery is a nightmare. The form is a mess, they say they can't if there is an Apple Watch benefit (is that even legal under the National Credit Act?) and Vitality and Card don't talk to each other so you have to go back and forth to find out what is actually happening.
Good day Juan
Thank you for your comment.
As communicated with you on email balances below R20 are written off as a business rule. This affects balances in credit and debit.
However, as discussed I am only able to process your requested refund once I received your completed account closure form with your banking details on it.
Please send this information to me at your earliest convenience and you will receive your credit reversal within five to seven working days thereafter.
Best Regards
Amanda
