Discovery showing their inexperience as a Bank

Discovery Bank is showing it's lack of experience and is slowly convincing me that moving from a traditional bank (FNB) was perhaps a mistake.

When I was signing up the consultant could not even answer basic banking questions everyday consumers have , example what would my potential credit card monthly payment be if I used my limit. When the person knew they could not accurately answer, they told me well I can review my application in the app and contact a banker thereafter. Almost just to end the call.

I reached out to the social media page to get someone to contact me, that never happened.

It is important to note this was during the sign up phase, I still had many questions and with no "physical" bank you forced to deal with, well lets be honest a call centre. I called back again couple days later and thankfully the new person I spoke to was more clued up. I eventually accepted the application and I still without bank cards, it is 7 business days later, 10 if you count weekends and no bank cards and not so much as communication from their chose courier.

I was able to set up a virtual debit card but the credit card which I need to use to close my fnb card is still paused. I starting to wonder if this relationship should even continue before I move my debits and salary because the 535 account fee which is more than FNB's private clients, does not seem to be worth it.
