Discovery refuses to send account statements.

We moved to Discovery Bank because we hoped that this division would be on par with Discovery Health, a brilliant app which provides excellent customer service. However, since moving we have not received any Credit Card statements. When I phoned Discovery I was told that they will not longer send out monthly statements, in any form, but that customers could find their statements if they go through a long, involved process on their banking app. This is ridiculous. If Discovery wants to save money by not emailing statements, why not just add a shortcut to their banking app named "Statements"? Come on, Discovery, make it easier to retrieve our statements. After all, you don't want to give your clients excuses not to pay their accounts.

Good day Sarel

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.

Discovery Bank is a fully digital bank, which means you have a bank branch in the palm of your hand. We want clients to manage their money anywhere, at any time, but also give them a banking experience that is easy, safe and secure. The Discovery Bank app allows us to do just that. We’re focused on giving clients the best app experience for now.

You can access your Bank statements by following the below steps:

·  Log In on the Bank app·  Select “more” ·  Select “documents” ·  Select “Inbox”·  Select “statements”

All account statements will be available; you may then select the required statement. Furthermore, you have the option to view, download or share statement. I.e. Send to email or whatsapp.

We are constantly updating the Bank app with new features and updates, please keep an eye on our app and communication channels as we roll out more of these functions and app updates.

Kind regards Discovery Bank Team
