Discovery Miles Rewards when opening account.

App**** for a bank account looking to get 5000 discovery miles when joining with a referral code. No where was there ever stated that I needed a Credit card in fact I quote " You will receive your Discovery Miles once you've opened a Discovery Bank Account and completed your first transaction" After phoning they simply said that I needed to apply for the Credit card at the beginning and now I do not qualify for this. I need this resolved for myself and my friend who referred me or I will take my business elsewhere.
