Discovery Miles online purchase error

I've accumulated my Discovery Miles for a few months now and wanted to purchase some items at Takealot.com. Discovery Miles is one of the options for payment. Only I receive an error each time, stating that Discovery is unable to access the Miles currently. On phoning Takealot they told me it is a Discovery problem. When I contacted Discovery Card about the problem, I was told that they know there is a problem but have no time frame for correcting it. I tried to then purchase through Loot online and received the same error. I find it frustrating that I've signed up to the Mile program and it seems that payment through online is not a possibility. Where am I supposed to use my Miles now?
