Discovery iPhone Benefit is NOT BENEFICIAL

Honestly just had the shock of my life. The Discovery iPhone Benefit is not beneficial at all! Why did just activate this benefit, and have the full amount of the phone inaccessible to me?? I have effectively paid the full price of the phone when the intention of signing up for the benefit was to NOT pay for the full price of the phone!

The amount the iPhone Benefit is activated, the full amount of the phone is taken away by Discovery. They then pay it back into your credit card every month for the 24 months duration of the contract. Mind you, you're paying interest on your credit card then you're paying interest on the Discovery Benefit! This is the worst decision I have made with Discovery and I thought their medical aid was atrocious.

The whole point of paying something off in instalments is because you do not want to pay the full price of the item immediately! That is the WHOLE POINT! And the cash back that they are talking about? You need to their highest banking suites and all their highest vitality programmes, which means that you are already paying wayyy more to Discovery! This may be a behavioural bank but the only behaviours that really matter is being rich!

Now, when after less than 24hrs of me realising that they took the entire sum for the iPhone, they charge me a 20% handling fee on the price of the device!! THAT IS ME NOW PAYING 20% OF THE COST PRICE OF THE PHONE TO RETURN IT!! AFTER LESS THAN 24HOURS OF ME HAVING THE PHONE AND ALL BECAUSE I OPENED THE BOX!! What the actual.
