Discovery Forex is hot garbage use Paypal

I saw other mentions of Forex payments gone awry. I paid a contribution to a friend's birthday in Australia and the person still hasn't received payment.

Interactions with Discovery is as follows: did enquiry last week Wednesday was told it would be a 2 day investigation. After not hearing things I followed up this Monday. But sounded like nothing materialised and I was told they would escalate it. Followed up again today 22 Thu 2022. Was told again they would escalate it? 8 days into the initial enquiry. Multiple phone calls some lasting 10mins. And the solution sucks I have to take an HSBC form, mail it to recipient (so he can go and also waste his time) and give it to his bank.

Just for reference the person works in hospitality and receives numerous foreign payments from clients?! Never had issues before...

Contrast this with another payment I made to a friend in the US with Paypal from my FNB linked account. And it was instantaneous.

Requested full refund waive of transaction fees; dont think bank charges are warranted for poor services and cost incurred from my side.
