Discovery Credit Card to Discovery Bank = one of the worst financial decisions I have ever made

We have had a Discovery Credit Card since April 2015 and converted this to the new Discovery Bank black credit card in December 2019. Up until I converted I thought it was the best credit card we had every had. I couldn't praise them enough and told everyone they had to have it.

Converting our card was the worst thing we ever did. We went from earning 10,000 discover miles per month to barely getting 500 in three months. On top of that they have charged us interest of ~ R400 every month since December despite us paying on time each month except for one month when i kept a small amount back until after the due date due to them taking the min amount debit order from us even though we had paid in full 8 days before the due date.

Dealing with them is beyond frustrating. The call center people do not know what they are doing and cannot help you and there is no email address that you can email your query to.

As I am the main member on the medical aid and my husband is the primary card holder on the bank it has caused endless problems with our vitality.

I was thinking of moving all my accounts to them but at this point I cannot exit fast enough as i do not trust them with my money at all.
