Discovery credit card holder

As much as I enjoying using my discovery credit card I am very disappointed with the recent service. I used my credit card to make international travel bookings. Since I had a 8 hour wait at the airport I enquired about using their lounge. After keeping me on hold for some time, I was informed that as long as I swipe my credit card for R3000 for the month, I should be able to buy a voucher of R300 to use the lounge. After spending the R3000 on my credit card, I called to buy the voucher the lounge, I was told that this is incorrect as only platinum credit card holders have access to this service. My travel is 10 days away and needless to say I am highly disappointed!!!

As a Discovery Bank Gold Credit Card holder, you have access to both the Visa Airport Companion (DragonPass) lounges for international travel and the Vitality Lounge. Please note that access to these lounges is available at a fee per visit per guest, as your current benefit tier does not include complimentary visits. Complimentary access typically requires meeting a specific spend threshold.

To access the DragonPass lounges, you can download and use the Visa Airport Companion App, available on both iOS and Android app stores.
