Discovery Credit Card / Debit Order Assitance.

I am trying to have a debit order stopped - Microsoft specifically. I have supp**** all required information - screen shots etc. Microsoft has no contact details of any kind. I cannot update my account details as the verification codes do not come to my email address. The only avenue I have left to me is to stop the debit orders. Yet Discovery won't do this. So quite simply - if you won't do this, after all the information and proof I have supp****, then I will close my bank account and credit card - really fed up with you guys.

Hi Janine

I am sorry you are having this experience with us.

With online debit orders, the best way to cancel them is with the merchant directly or by changing your card details, because on our side we can reverse and put a stop to the debit order but merchants will keep trying under different references to pull funds from your account.

I am looking into your query and will provide feedback soon.

WHAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO CONTACT MICROSOFT???? THERE ARE NO CONTACT DETAILS. RIGHT, I WILL PROCEED WITH CANCELLING MY ACCOUNT AND CREDIT CARD. YOU ARE UNBELIEVABLE OBSTRUCTIVE AND UNHELPFUL. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 3 WEEKS NOW - AND YOUR DEPARTMENT WILL NOT HELP ME - AFTER I HAVE SUPP**** PROOF ON EVERY LEVEL THAT I CANNOT REACH MICROSOFT, I CANNOT UPDATE MY ACCOUNT DETAILS, I CANNOT DO ANYTHING - SO EITHER CONFIRM THAT YOU WILL STOP THIS DEBIT ORDER - OR LOSE ME AS A CLIENT. MY CONTACT NUMBER IN THE UK IS ***.

I am now on the line to cancel my Discovery Credit Card - thanks for being so utterly useless and unhelpful.

Hi Janine

I am sorry you feel this way even to the point of closing your account.

I have had a look at this debit order and it is set up I such a way that it appears as an online payment/subscription which is not possible for us to remove it like any other normal debit order, the transaction itself allows us to dispute it but the option to stop it is not given as it needs the merchants input, the furthest escalation would be for the transaction dispute only.
