Discovery Credit Card can not be paid from Discovery Transmission Account
I paid my balance on my Discovery Credit Card from my Discovery Transmission Account in full on 1 August 2023. On 2 August 2023 I received a message of a missed payment. I contacted Discovery who would investigate and get back to me which never happened. I phoned again on 3 August 2023 and was eventually contacted on 4 August 2023. Discovery Bank say you can not pay your Discovery Credit Card from your Discovery Transmission Account. The funds must be deposited from an external source. I have never heard of such a ridiculous rule. I will be closing my Purple Discovery Credit Card Account

When you apply for credit with us we offer a single credit facility. This allows the total credit offered to you to be split between your transaction account and credit card with no administrative barriers.
As the credit is applicable to both your transaction account and credit card, you need to fund your account with an external source like a salary or EFT's into the account, as transfers would simply be seen as shifting allowance from one account to another with no deposit into the account.
