Discovery card - such an underwhelming service

So I sent this complaint via email and received a very standard generic response from the team. Very underwhelming.

Dear Discovery,

I am a returning credit card customer and I honestly wish I had not...returned that is.

Issues:

My account was linked to my husbands credit card despite him cancelling the secondary card I had months ago, so I could not apply for my own. I had to wait more than 24 hours for this to be resolved. There was no reason why I should have been seeing his card details and his balance – surely this is a security risk , what if we were no longer together?
It was then resolved however, my details were captured incorrectly so I never received the application form until I called back in
Another time wasted effort
I provided the corrected email address on 8 March 17 when I called in (however when I called back today, the wrong email address was still on the system)
CCD then sent me an SMS yesterday saying they have been trying to make contact with me with no success, at no stage at any time did CCD try calling me on the number I provided on my application form.
I called CCD and they promised delivery before 10am today, ah discovery – if you cant keep promises, why should your vendors
I called CCD back as around 9:45 there was no card delivery and dealt with an agent (Lerato) who was mildly frustrated with me, obviously I should not have shown discontent for the 5 abovementioned steps
When I finally received the call and followed instructions to activate, I noticed my OTP details were wrong
Why would it be wrong discovery – when I provided the correct details on my application form
I followed the instructions and the number provided on the OTP screen, lo and behold – they cant help me, they transferred me the correct team which happened to be card cancellations :?
Maybe it was a sign that I should have followed through on
Your card cancellations team refused to transfer me
I disconnected and dialled the number myself
An agent Sharmaine took my call, Discovery sigh...why will it now take 2 working days for my OTP to be updated
Why I am typing this email? Well I asked Sharmaine why my card details would have been incorrect in the first place – she does not know....

All signs point to the fact that you do not want me to spend money on my discovery card, let alone be a customer of yours. Maybe I should just use my eBucks to purchase my apple watch – which is the only reason I went through this hassle.

Issue is still not resolved.

Shanelle Chetty
