Discovery Card

I have a problem when big companies like Discovery Card cant do a simple thing as Closing a card. I have been requesting for my card to be closed for the past year and that was way before my account reached the Negative Balance. Every time i request im told they cant close it, Now my calls dont get answered and the amount keeps on increasing messing with my Credit Score.

I dont have the money to pay for my account to he closed when i requested well in advance to close my account, i have Emails dating back mid 2019 with all necessary forms they requested from me till today my account remains opened. Everytime i call i get directed FNB Lines and no one really explains to me about the request to closure. I just get told that they cant close it cause Im owing. HOW WHEN I REQUESTED THE ACCOUNT TO BE CLOSED BEFORE IT WAS EVEN AT THE NEGATIVE BALANCE.
