Discovery Bank / Vitality system makes NO sense

I'm not sure if this is for Discovery Vitality, or Discovery Bank, or a combination of the two.

In general, I think Discovery is an amazing company, and I love how they are truly innovative (with the exception of the much hyped "innovation" of printing their bank card in portrait versus landscape mode - not worth shouting about) in their shared value approach to the design of their products.

Discovery Vitality for health = makes COMPLETE sense Discovery Vitality for insurance = COMPLETE sense Discovery Vitality for Banking = ???%€π√$???

How on earth is making people swipe TWENTY FIVE TIMES PER WEEK, an innovation that drives responsible banking behaviour?? Where is the spin to justify that, without having Discovery Bank having to look away like Schabir Shaik, after an inquisition?

I hope that Discovery Bank makes swift changes to the design of their system, to ensure real shared value, and not something as heavily one-sided as the current system.

Reviewer Update
Thanks for the response. I appreciate that, and remember the teething issues you had with Vitality for health.

I'm just genuinely wondering how that target passed the initial internal review; was there any research to show that swiping 4 times per day versus swiping 4 times per week drives a better spending habit/assists with savings/has any benefit? I can see how it makes sense, from a business perspective, but not from a client one. If you have any literature to the contrary, please send it to me.

I know that you'll rectify this, as always, and do trust that Discovery will continue to be a great, leading, innovative company in all aspects.
