Discovery Bank not living up to expectations
I am a Discovery Credit Card holder for the past few years, and have really only had joy from them. The products and cross-linkages between other products are complex at times, but the explanations and guidelines make things understandable. When Discovery Credit Card, which was previously managed by FNB, went the route of a stand alone bank, I did as suggested and migrated to the new bank. Everything went ****** dory, until I noticed on the banking app in February this year that I had a transactional account linked to the Credit Card, for which I NEVER signed up. As most banks do, the transactional account comes with a monthly fee. I promptly phoned them and asked that this be canceled, and the operator assured me the fee will be reversed and the account closed. Not so. Phoned again yesterday after I got an sms kindly reminding me that the account payment was in arrears and they might stop/block all transaction. Once again a helpful call centre agent assured me that this will be sorted. While I have patience with most things human, I think this is a little sneaky and certainly not acceptable on Discovery Banks behalf. Also, there doesn't exist an email address where I can complain about this? Most general commercial banks I googled today have this ability to connect with their customers. Discovery Health even has email address where I can complain when it comes to the medical aid.
I would really like this transactional account closed asap. Never signed up for it, never intended using it. Please assist with the reversal of all the monthly account fees and the interest you charged me, which also hasn't been refunded.
