DISCOVERY BANK MISINFORMED ME RE MY ACCOUNT

I am behind on payments on my credit card. Attempted to make payment arrangements with discovery but was told to contact MBD attorneys. I made arrangements with MBD attorneys and was told that once my account was paid up to date I would be able to access and transact on it again as it has been blocked! Today I was told by a consultant at Experian that My ACCOUNT WAS SOLD TO MBD. How is this even possible? Or legal? I’ve been trying to reach discovery since the beginning of the year but they don’t respond to emails, and I don’t have airtime to hold for over 40 minutes a time.
