I am absolutely appalled at how terrible the process of moving my loan from FNB to Discovery has been. I agreed to move this across as the interest rate was compelling and now 3 months since I signed documentation. It should not take 3 months to move a loan from one bank to another. The communication is non-existent, they don't share their details to follow up etc. When I finally thought the process was done... they instituted a new condition that I didnt agree to. The condition being that a property i got a pre-approval for to buy with my partner (in 8 months) be removed from my deeds office... mind you the pre-approval was after the process with discovery started. They assured me that this would be removed and the process can be closed out. I just received a call from the lawyers saying i need to resign the documentation because the final numbers have changed and the same CP is still in the documents so they're not sure how it was waived... its been 3.5 months. I work in finance and I've never seen a worse handled process. I would highly not recommend, absolutely terrible service
