Discovery Bank failed transaction no funds reversed

Two weeks ago on October 21st, I made a payment to Nedbank Namibia to an account that turns out was closed, +/- 10 business days, okay so the funds intented for my kids living with the grandmother never reached Namibia, I also paid the extra fee as this is a forex transaction, it's actually a large amount, last monday I followed up with Discovery Bank and was told they have to do a missing payments check, consultant informed me 5-10 business days, patiently waiting for feedback, I phone on Friday again, different consultant tells me she will follow up and phone me back, no phone back happened. According to the bank the funds were supposed to reflect back in my account already, but here we are 05 November, no feedback, no funds and me starting to wonder if there isn't perhaps ***** involved with this transaction, because if the funds were rejected by Nedbank Namibia because the account is closed then surely by now it should have returned to my account
