Discovery Bank does not recognise Independent contractors
I submitted my documents along with an explanation regarding my status as an independent contractor and freelancer. I provided a letter of employment; however, it was rejected without any communication with my employer.
Additionally, I submitted my sole proprietor business bank account statements, as I do not maintain a separate personal account. The account is registered under the name "A Man t/a Osabi Digital."
This submission was also rejected. As a freelancer and independent contractor, I do not possess a formal contract, but I do have a letter of employment that outlines my salary and other relevant details.
It is disappointing that a bank like Discovery, which is expected to lead in innovation, fails to adapt to the evolving work environment that includes independent contractors. Despite my efforts to provide all necessary documentation, my submissions have been rejected.
I am increasingly frustrated with the need to validate my income, as I have comp**** with all requirements. Discovery Bank's inability to recognize independent contractors who operate under a sole proprietorship has resulted in the rejection of my documents.
