DISCOVERY BANK DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO RUN A TFSA!

Discovery Bank advertises "Transfer your Tax Free Savings Account to us!" Great! So I start the process to transfer from Standard Bank. It took a whole month to finalize the transfer, but fine ok, I get it, the process involves tax certificates, etc. A month later, the R46 000 enters my Discovery Bank TFSA and IMMEDIATELY LEAVES MY ACCOUNT! I thought shoot- maybe it's *****? So I call Discovery Bank and the banker is so poorly educated on the product that he doesn't know how lifetime limits vs annual limits apply. He says that the money was returned to SBSA because the amount transferred was greater than R36k ... AT THIS POINT I AM FURIOUS... WHAT WAS THE POINT OF GOING THROUGH THE WHOLE PROCESS OF NOT TRIGGERING A TAX EVENT TO TRANSFER THE MONEY IF IT WAS GOING TO BE REJECTED BY DISCOVERY DUE TO THE ANNUAL LIMITS RULE ON THEIR ACCOUNT ANYWAY?! I will be closing my discovery accounts if I have to wait another month for this to be rectified. I STILL DONT KNOW WHERE THE R46000 IS NOW!!!
