Discovery Bank Credit Card Interest chargers

Interest chargers are ridiculous if you owe 10000.01 and pay 10000 then you will pay interest on 0.01+ whatever you spend until your next statement period, hence the charge "on both the statement balance (which is the unsettled amount) and on any new purchases made on the card"

Why pay interest on your current spend that is not overdue.

Good day Rashid

Thank you for reaching out to us and bring your concerns forward.
The full amount due is made up of: a. The unpaid balance on your credit facility b. The unpaid interest charges c. All other fees and charges that are due. if you are making full payment due you need to make a settlement as it is on your statement.

Interest should be charged on the overdue amounts and not the current amount on new purchase Because there is an overdue amount discovery penalises and chargers memo interest on the current amount purchases as well which is not overdue.

All other banks charge interest on the overdue amount and not the current amounts.

Seems like you are responding but did not read the complaint.

If I fail to settle the full amount owing why charge me interest on my current purchases which are not due.
