Discovery bank charges interest notwithstanding payment made on due date
I just received my credit card statement and have been charged interest for late payment! I called the call centre who confirmed notwithstanding the payment was made on the due date, the system only app**** the payment the following day and accordingly deemed it a late payment. The supervisor insisted this is their policy and payments should be made at least 3-4 days prior to due date in order to avoid this??

It is advised to make payments into your account three to four days before the payment due date. There generally is a disclaimer by your bank stating that an EFT will take a few days to clear. This is a systematic process. Alternatively, you may load a debit order onto your Discovery Bank account to prevent this from happening in the future.
