Discovery Bank Additional Card & iPhone benefit

I called discovery bank on the 7th as I entered the wrong cell number on the banking app for an additional card. The lady said she would get them to cancel the application and call me back but she never did. Called a second time and was told they would cancel the application and I would get a call back as I also had some other questions, she never called back. I am unable to apply for the additional card until they delete the original application. I also asked if purchases from the secondary card will add up to my active rewards as well as for the iPhone benefit. I made two more calls to establish the answer to this question and was told absolutely yes by one banker and no by another, so which is it?
