DISCOVERY BANK - A behavioral bank that is not good for your health nor financial well-being!

Do not bank with Discovery Bank, the Behavioral Bank that is not good for your health nor well-being! Discovery Bank does not deserve to have nor keep a licence to call themselves a bank. When Discovery bank takes their monthly payment of your card balance by way of debit order, notwithstanding the funds have been taken out of say your Investec Private Bank account, Discovery bank holds onto these funds for 4-5 days in terms of what they call a "grace period" to allow one to dispute the debit order. During this time the funds are not made available on your Discovery card. 4-5 days is comparable to times it took to clear cheques. And what Discovery does not appreciate is that a consumer can dispute or have a debit order reversed if it took place less than 40 days before reporting it. So why do this? Trying to get a waiver of this so-called grace period is akin to Donald Trump speaking the truth. Management seem to only work shifts so trying to deal with anyone to resolve something same day is near impossible. Moral of the story - stick with Investec or any of the other first tier banks.

Nancy - this does not happen with the major professional banks and certainly not on the accounts of customers qualifying for a Discovery Black card equivalent at the other banks.

Why not make you replies PUBLIC so everyone can see exactly how you operate? Why is this such a big secret. Why won't anyone at the bank put sign a name on correspondence? Make your replies public.
