Discovery and FNB a don't care about there loyal customers - even if make payment arrangements they still treat you badly after ONE payment not made due to not having money!

In Auggust 2016 I contacted Discovery in Sandton and told them of being unemployed and told them I’m expecting money to come in and I will pay it as soon as it comes in – they gave me their banking details.

Monday the 5th of September I received a rude call from a gentleman wanting money for my credit card outstanding. After explaining to him I am not currently working, that I have already told Discovery this and waiting for payment and hoping it should come through within the next week or so, he wants to me to confirm for two weeks the Wednesday of the 20th, I told him I cannot confirm because I don’t know if it will definitely be paid but he will have the full amount at the end of the month.

We put the phone down and he sends me a sms stating I have agreed on the 20th of September.

On Friday the 9th I contacted Discovery spoke to Thuli explained the situation then transfers me to Winnie in FNB Collections and explained the situation all over again to them.

I asked Winnie to please check for me what it says on the system as I informed her I am not happy with the situation and the way the man treated me including that he expected me to pay for something when I told them I’m hoping for money to come it but could not guarantee it as I cannt control my ex employer. She told me she couldn’t see what was said but she will put a note on the system stating that I will make full R5000 payment only at the end of the month.

This morning the 13th September, I get another reminder of money out standing is due on the 20th September.

Discovery and FNB are acting like a pack of wild dogs harassing me for money and making me feel like I don’t matter after been a loyal customer who is facing financially difficulty.

All the people I have spoken to at Discovery and FNB have wasted my time. This is my first time missing a payment, I brought it to the attention of Discovery at the end of August already that I have not been paid by previous employer, I too also said that you will received MONEY at the end of September if I do not get it sooner as that is what I am expecting.

I want the money to run off THE NIGHT of the 25th of September not later or earlier – this too has proven to be an exercise with Discovery getting things done properly the first time.
