Disappointing Service on Simple Address Update

I have been attempting to update my address with Discovery Bank for several days, but the process has been unnecessarily complicated and frustrating.

I submitted all of the required documents, yet my request remained pending. The feedback I received was inconsistent — first, that an ID was missing (even though it was attached), and then that the declaration was not signed and dated (which it was). This creates the impression that documents are either not being reviewed properly or not handled with due diligence.

After escalating the matter telephonically, a consultant confirmed that I had submitted everything correctly. My address was eventually updated, but I was then issued with the wrong bank document — whereas needing the correct document with the correct address was my core request. I immediately emailed and called again, and was assured that the correct document would be sent to me. Two days later, I am still waiting.

It is concerning that service delivery is this poor, especially for a fully virtual bank. Processing requests efficiently online is supposed to be Discovery Bank’s core strength (a fully virtual bank), yet my experience reflects the opposite — with slow, inconsistent and careless handling of something as basic as an address update.

It is disappointing to see a brand that markets itself on excellence fall short at the most basic level of customer service.
