Did not adhere to SLA to close credit card, instead charged more fees.
Settled and requested that my Platinum Discovery Card be closed in March. After meeting various requirements, I received an e-mail on 6 April stating the card would be closed with in 5 to 7 working days. Instead, I received another statement today (18 April) reflecting the deduction of a full month's fees. Very clever: don't adhere to basic Service Level Agreements to extract additional fees. PS The Discovery Card Protector is also used an excuse to delay card cancellations and account closures. Joke's on you: I have a Life Plan and RA that I am also now going to cancel - I can't deal with an organisation that can't adhere to basic SLAs!
