Credit Card Increase Run Around
yet again declined a credit card increase yet you guys phoned me and told me I am already pre-authorised because of the way I have managed my credit card. For 10 years I have never owed or "paid off" my credit card, the balance is fully paid within 2 weeks to a month. So I have never mismanaged it and now again YOU phoned me to advise me I am due for an increase - so I do all the necessary paraphanalia - I should have known better! Bank statements for 3 months etc and all the docs and your reply email said bank statements OR IT34 sars return! Now you knocking me for IT34 which I dont need and dont have......! So change your requirements and let everyone know you must have an IT34 or you will be declined ... highly irritated - wasted my time, my printing for what - despite being told I am brilliant with my card and have managed it better than most??? REALLY?>???????
Hi Louisa
Our records indicate that you initially confirmed that you are self-employed. We have however, noticed that you were in contact with our Credit Team where it was confirmed that you are currently unemployed and receive a monthly allowance from your husband. Unfortunately, we do not consider this type of income when assessing our clients for credit. Your limit increase application was therefore declined based on your current employment status and not your inability to provide an ITA34.
Should your current circumstances change, you would be more than welcome to reapply for a limit increase on your Discovery Card.
Kind regards
