Card not meant for self-employed customers

On the 5th I app**** for a discovery card for the sole purpose of getting the apple watch via vitality to be able to actually get benefit from the vitality I pay monthly for. My application was pre-apporved but they had a problem with the fact that my bank statement is in my businesses name, a business that I am the sole proprietor of. They then asked IT34 form for me that is not older than 3 months, this is something that is truly impossible to deliver as this form is done yearly in March. After informing them if the fact that it is impossible they cancelled my application. I then asked my husband to apply for a card as he uses personal accounts separately from his business account. According to them this was all they needed. After delivering this they suddenly wanted his IT34 form as they decided that his personal accounts is business accounts. Apparently Discovery can decide what type of account you have. They requested my husbands IT34 form may be a year old, suddenly on that they had a change of heart. Not that it suprises me they change there protocol every few minutes. But my husband decided that he is not going to request the form as my bill from the chartered accountant doing our books was R1500 to receive a form that was way to old to use, and due to the fact that my husband feels he is being treated unfairly as he did deliver on what they requested he decided not to go to that expense. We decided together that we rather will seek life insurance elsewhere and cancel our life insurance and vitality with discovery. As vitality is actually something you pay for monthly and never receive anything back, I have been trying 2 years to activate the so called dischem discount card, it is impossible. I tried to proof my excersise routine now that is impossible. All I do receive is half price movies that really does not amount to my yearly bill for vitality. I tried to speak to a manager, but my request for email adressess or phone numbers for a manager is being ignored like if I never asked. I believe discovery have the right to decide if they want to give a credit card or not, about that I cannot do anything. It is however in my opinion pathetic that they cannot look at a application without being difficult, my credit score is more than good, I can buy a car of a high value now with my bank account that I am the sole owner of proofing my income, but discovery discard my application for R15 000 credit (that they use as merit for the apple watch as the watch value is under R7000 so that is also not neccessary) based on the name on my bank statements and there is not a single person you could speak to that could look at the merit of the application. And discovery makes sure that there is no other way to use there deal on the apple watch with out there credit card. So in the end they are actually offering something that they are not really intresseted in giving to the customer. Believe they did to much of this deals and sees that it is not cost effective anymore so now it is easier to decline the cards up front, specially if the customer is honest enough to decline a high credit and informing them it is only for the watch they want the card. Discovery is in my opinion not a very customer friendly company and they make sure that customers do not bother any managment.
