Can't speak to anyone at Discovery Card

Discovery does not respond to emails to their platinumcard email address and their call centre can't assist (if you don't mind holding for 15+ min to get an answer). I was advised to use email as I couldn't pass my own security check to the call centre (to which they have no solution either).

Since I can't use the call centre and can't update my security questions I tried email as this is the only solution they could offer. I've sent about 10 emails now and haven't had a single response.

Absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced from any company. Ever. Including Telkom and Eskom and that says a lot.

Remembered about hellopeter. Maybe they'll respond to this? Doubt it.

You say a "slight" backlog but I've sent emails on the 11th that promised feedback within 24 hours that I still have no response to.
Having to hold for 15 minutes before someone answers at the call centre is also unacceptable (I timed it). Clearly something is very wrong at Discovery Card and the "unexpected volumes" is because of issues they're having.

I have an inexplicable zero balance on my card and it's impossible to find out from Discovery why. Clearly many people are having issues and that's why they're having these high call volumes...

I do understand the security check. Obviously. The issue is that they can't tell you what to do next if you got a question wrong. I was told to phone and "try again" and that before I ask, no I can't speak to a manager. So I asked what am I supposed to do and they said they don't know. Maybe rather send an email - which I then did and I'm not getting any response on it.

For a company like Discovery.... just wow.
