Cancellation request not honoured

I requested the account to be cancelled months ago, to date i am still getting sms’s saying i am behind, cancel cancel cancel i want the card to be cancelled. Its not like i owe anyone anything, it was a savings slash credit account that did not benefit me in any way, cancel
