ANGRY CUSTOMER

I am a very frustrated and angry customer of Dicovery credit cards terrible , unprofessional service and delivery. Let me explain my story..

I app**** for My Discovery credit card on the 10 March 2015 with the intention only to apply for my Apple iWatch which would help me maintain my healthy life style, as the Discovery website states: 'Discovery Vitality members can get Apple Watch and use it to achieve their weekly Vitality Active Rewards goals.' 'You can buy one Apple Watch per Vitality policy in a 24-month period.'

Now at the time when I app**** for my watch the citerea to qualify for the watch was a Gold card with R10 000 credit.

From my online AND telephonic application on the 10 MARCH 2016, my card was FINALLY delivered on 20 MAY 2016 ! after endless phonecalls and emails enquiring as to why I had not had any feedback on my application.

Every time I made an enquiry another customer service person made ANOTHER enquiry on my credit record, eventually re****ing in 6 credit checks which then affected my credit rating from 'GOOD' to 'POOR'. After my own investigation I managed to figure out that this was the fault of Discovery credit card & FNB and their LACK of communication! I then had to get the credit dept. to remove the negative enquiries and change my credit rating back to 'GOOD'.

During this time I still had no feedback on my credit card from Discovery until the 10 May I got hold of a nice man by the name of 'Kabelom' who FINALLY processed my application! I then recived my credit card on MAY 20th! 10 WEEKS LATER form my application!!!!!!!!

Now FINALLYI could collect my iWatch which was the ONLY reason I was applying for a credit card; but NO, I was kindly told by the customer service lady on the Discovery Vitality help line 'OH NO I'M SORRY, YOU DON'T QUALIFY FOR THE WATCH BECAUSE AS OF THE 1ST MAY, THE REQUIRED CREDIT CARD LIMIT IS NOW R15 000!!!!' YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! SO..... because Discovery Credit card department was so useless and clearly have untrained and unproffession staff working for them, messed up my application so many times, I cannot apply for my iWatch????

This is unnaceptable! I expect an appology and I would like Discovery Card to increase my credit limit to R15 000 so that I can get my watch. This was NOT my fault and I request that Discovery Credit card sort this problem out.

I await your response.
