Airport lounge access ****
Don't join discovery for airport lounge access it's a ****. It use to be very easy to get your full lounge assess, now they want you to spend almost R24000 per month for 12 months. Those transactions must be speed point or online transactions. Debit orders & EFTs don't count towards the spend minimu. It's a **** run away thry behaving like all the traditional banks now that thrt have customers, I decided to go back to FNB much easier to get your slow lounge access which 10 times better than the discovery lounges

07 Sept 2026, 11:25Hi Kamogelo T,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand that changes to benefits can be frustrating, especially when they affect something you've enjoyed and valued as part of your banking experience.
The Lounge benefit is linked to qualifying account activity and engagement, and complimentary visit allocations vary depending on a client's banking product and qualifying spend profile. Clients who meet the applicable average monthly qualifying spend requirement receive the full annual lounge allocation, while clients who do not meet the threshold still retain access to a limited allocation of complimentary visits and can access the lounge at a preferential rate thereafter.
We appreciate that every client's banking needs and spending patterns are different, and we understand that some clients may compare our offering with those of other banks. Our objective is to provide a rewards programme that balances value, sustainability, and meaningful benefits for clients based on their engagement with Discovery Bank and Vitality Money.
We're sorry to hear that your experience has not met your expectations. Your feedback is valuable and will be shared with the relevant teams as we continuously review and enhance our products and benefits.
Kind regards,
Tyrone
