Abhorrent treatment from Discovery bank. - DO NOT bank here
I'm furious about what happened to my mother-in-law. She was ****med out of money by a *****ster from both her FNB and Discovery accounts, and the contrast in how the two banks handled the situation is infuriating. FNB took immediate action and managed to recover approximately 80% of the ****** funds, demonstrating their commitment to their customers. In stark contrast, Discovery's response was shockingly dismissive, essentially saying, "we see you as the perpetrator" - These were their exact words.
While we acknowledge that some mistakes were made on her part, they were unintentional. The disregard from Discovery is unacceptable. They have made it abundantly clear that they care only about their profits and have zero interest in customer care. Because of this experience, our family will be severing all ties with Discovery. I urge everyone reading this to consider choosing a bank that truly values its customers.

Your advice to a woman who was ****med—who then did the right thing by calling Discovery and following the proper procedures— is to call Discovery and go through the same channels again?
